FAQ

How much does #1 cost?

Whatever the leading listing's melted score is, plus $1. Because balances halve daily, #1 keeps falling back into everyone's reach. Any other spot on the board starts at $1.

Do I pay what they paid, or what is left?

What is left. Every price is computed against the current melted standing, never the original amount, and it is recomputed the moment the page loads rather than stored anywhere. Someone who paid $10 twelve hours ago is holding about $5 of it, so their spot costs roughly $6 to take. The one twist: clicks earn a quality multiplier of up to 2x, so a well clicked listing can cost more to displace than it originally paid.

Does the leader stay on top?

Not for long, but not automatically either. Time drains every balance at the same rate, so it lowers every price on the board without reshuffling the order. What actually moves positions is money and clicks: a new bid, a recharge, or one listing earning clicks faster than its neighbours. The leader keeps the spot until someone pays the price, and that price halves every day they do not recharge.

Do clicks help me or cost me?

Both — the same way they do in a real ad auction. Every click spends part of your balance, because clicks are what you came for. But listings that get clicked more than the board average pay roughly half as much per click and rank up to 2x higher. Money gets you on the board; being worth clicking keeps you there.

What is topple.lol?

A leaderboard where your bid is a balance, not a purchase. It halves every 24 hours, and every click it earns spends a little more of it. When the balance runs out the listing settles at the bottom, so #1 is always coming back into reach.

How is this different from outbid.lol?

outbid.lol keeps bids forever, so its #1 price only goes up and has climbed into five figures. On topple.lol every balance drains, so the top spot reopens every day instead of pricing itself out. full comparison →
