In August 2026 the internet rediscovered the Million Dollar Homepage: pay money, get ranked, dare someone to outbid you. Within 72 hours there was a whole genre. Here's the full list — including us, marked honestly.

- Highest lifetime bid holds #1. Beat the top by $1 to take it.
- Your bid:
- Permanent — but the #1 price only ratchets up. It passed $1,000 within 48 hours of launch.
- Note:
- The site that started the August 2026 wave. ~190K visitors in its first days, nearly all from X.
topapp.loliOS App Store apps only
- Mechanic:
- Same pay-more-rank-higher model, but listings are App Store links with icons and seller names.
- Your bid:
- Permanent, lifetime total per app.
- Note:
- The App Store fork of the idea, launched a day after outbid.lol.

- Mechanic:
- One public leaderboard; your bid determines your rank until someone outbids you.
- Your bid:
- Permanent until outbid.
- Note:
- A straight clone of outbid.lol.

- Mechanic:
- Perpetual auction for 8 squares. Pay a multiple of the last price to take one.
- Your bid:
- Refunded with profit — get outbid and you leave with up to 1.5× what you paid.
- Note:
- The most financialized variant: being outbid is how you win. Closer to a game of chicken than a leaderboard.

- Mechanic:
- King-of-the-hill: highest melting score holds #1. Bids lose 50% of their power every 24 hours.
- Your bid:
- Melts — which is the point. #1 always decays back toward $1, so the game never freezes.
- Note:
- This site. Built because the permanent-bid ladder freezes: decay keeps every throne affordable and every king mortal.

Which one should you bid on?
For a one-off traffic spike while the wave is hot: outbid.lol has the most eyeballs today. For iOS apps specifically: topapp.lol. If you want being outbid to pay you: frontpage.sh.
